March 2018 Newsletter

Have you got enough time to do all the things you want? We all need to do our chores but still take time to enjoy each day. I always thought when I retired that I would have plenty of time to do the things I had been putting off. Forget it! It seems like I have less time now. That “Honey Do” list grows every week, there’s always something to do in the yard or the barn or the house, and there are always things that need to be fixed or replaced. I’ve learned to pace myself; Karon calls it laziness or loafing. I try to get an afternoon nap or surf the web (usually they are the same thing) at least every other day but still no list is ever completed. I stay busy and do accomplish a lot, but I now wonder how I worked and got all of this stuff done before I retired. That’s why I love camping so much. I’m not home and can’t be responsible for “the lists”. I bet some of you feel the same way I do. Let’s decide to not stress over all we have to do but to keep working on it a little at a time.
